Meet Angel and Dodger, our SPCA of Hancock County Pets of the Week!

They wear their age with proud peppery hairs on their snouts and paws, but besides that, they are active dogs who love long walks and hiking.

Angel and Dodger are part lab and part rottie, and these black lab siblings are 8-years-old and plucky as can be!

Their former owner said they have problems with smaller dogs, a behavior the folks at the SPCA of Hancock County are still looking into since these two only arrived on August 14, but with humans, they are friendly and easygoing.

Dodger was desperate for ALL the walks when he debuted at DragonFire Pizza in Ellsworth this past weekend, but he didn’t pull hard on his leash. They seem like wonderful dogs who would love an active family and plenty of space to run around since they’re not ready to retire just yet.

Know any homes with room for two older dogs with plenty of pep in their step?  We hope so, as of course they deserve to be together for the rest of their lives!

Call to schedule an appointment to meet with both Angel and Dodger!  Call (207) 667-8088, or email at info@spcahancockcounty.org.

The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs available for adoption. It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. Donations are always accepted. They will take your returnable bottles as a donation, so please drop them off right there at the shelter.  They're open Wednesday through Sunday 11 AM –5 PM, Closed Monday and Tuesday.
