Bogaerts and Barnes to Bereavement List

The Boston Red Sox announced that right handed pitcher Matt Barnes was placed on the Bereavement List prior to today's postponed Red Sox - Pirates game and then announced that shortstop Xander Bogaerts would be placed on the Bereavement List prior to Friday's Red Sox - Tiger's series.

As a result of the roster moves, the Red Sox recalled right handed pitcher Noe Ramirez and utility infielder Marco Hernandez from Triple A Pawtucket. Ramirez and Hernandez will join the Red Sox for their series at Detroit. The Red Sox and Tigers play a 4 game series starting Friday, April 7th with the pregames starting at 12:25 and 1st pitches at 1:10 on AM 1370 WDEA
