American and Islander Honored

The Ellsworth American was named New England's Newspaper of the Year for Weekly Newspapers with circulations of more than 8000. This is the 5th year in a row that the American was honored with this award! The Mount Desert Islander placed 2nd in the Nation in the Small Weekly Newspaper Division of the Year.
