Swan Agency Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Major Donation to MDI Hospital [PHOTOS]

The Swan Agency in Bar Harbor threw a party on Tuesday, April 1st celebrating their 50th Anniversary in business.

Established on April 1, 1975 by Cary Swan, daughter Kimberly with her mother and Swan Agency Realtors and friends celebrated. There was cake, champagned and the unveiling of the new sign on the building in honor of Cary Swan, identifying the area as the Cary Swan Block.

State Senator Nicole Grohoski and State Representative Gary Friedman introduced a legislative sentiment that was passed congratulating the Swan Agency on 50 years in business.

Kim Swan then presented a check to Mount Desert Island Hospital CEO and President Chrissy Maguire in the amount of $50,000 which Maguire said would help unlock a two million dollar matching gift.
