Acadia Timber Cottages Ribbon Cutting and Open House – July 23
If you drive the Bar Harbor Road going through Trenton you may have noticed a new sign on a road, for the Acadia Timber Cottages.

The Cottages are owned by Colton and Morgan Sanborn, who own Timberland Acres Campground and the Tavern at Timberland just a few miles away.
Everyone is invited to the Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Thursday, July 23rd from 3 to 6 p.m.
I was lucky to have a sneak preview the other day, and I was truly amazed at what I saw!
The road goes up a bit and you are away from all of the noise from the Bar Harbor Road. There are 17 beautifully appointed cottages. Cottages sleep 6 with a king size bed, in 1 room, a pair of twin beds in the other room and then a pull-out double couch. All the cottages have a heat pump and heated floors and wi-fi. There is a dishwasher and each one comes with all the bedding. Each cottage also has a grill and some are pet friendly.
During the summer season, rates start at $379..00 per night, with a 2-night minimum. They are going to be renting them out during the winter on a month-to-month basis for $2400 a month which includes, heat, water, electricity, snow removal and wi-fi
Reservations may be made by calling 207-664-3384 or by visiting their website.
The Sanborns have plans to add a walking trail. They are permitted for a total of 59 cottages.
