The Ellsworth Burger King, owned by Steve Wegner is one of 4 Burger Kings that will close permanently after service on Monday December 28th. In addition to the Ellsworth Burger King, the Hogan Road Bangor, Orono and Rockland Burger Kings will be closing.

The Acting City Manager of Ellsworth, Glenn Moshier is also the Chief of Police. In his capacity as Chief of Police he sent out a letter via the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce informing Ellsworth business owners that the police department will enforce the Governor's Mask Order.

The Jekyll and Hyde Store located at 70 Main Street in Bar Harbor has been sold to Kip Stone, who owns Cool as a Moose, which is also located on Main Street in the next block at 118 Main Street in Bar Harbor.

Dave Reesman owner of Margaritas in Orono has tentatively agreed to purchase The Mex building on Main Street in downtown Ellsworth. Reesman and Mex owner Lou Harris are to close on the deal on February 24th.
