All MDI Regional School System Schools to Remain Closed to Public
Even though State guidelines are permitting fans to attend indoor events starting on March 26th, it was decided at the MDI Regional School System Administrative meeting on Wednesday, March 24th that all MDI Regional School System Schools would remain closed to the public for the forseeable future.
This decision will be re-evaluated on May 1st.
This means that at this time, Mount Desert Regional Schools will not be allowing any in-person gatherings, town meetings etc. To be consistent, MDI High School will not be allowing fans to attend any indoor volleyball matches.
Outdoor sports are allowed to have spectators, as previously designated.
Even though the CDC or Maine Principal's Association may have issued guidelines as to the ability of having indoor gatherings, final decisions regarding these are made locally.
Anyone with questions regarding this decision should email Marc Gousse, the Superintendent of AOS 91, or their specific building principals.
