Acadians to Play in Finals

The Acadian Youth Sports 9-10 Baseball team will be playing in the finals of the Bob Dorr Tournament at DeMeyer Field in Ellsworth on Monday, June 27th at 5 PM against the Machias Red Team.

The Acadians advanced to the final on Sunday on the arm of Matt Levesque who pitched a 2 hitter, and struck out 7 while only walking 3. Aiden Mitchell had the big hit, with a bases clearing triple.

The Acadians were 2-1 in pool play. They beat Ellsworth Friday night 14-7, lost to Machias Red on Saturday 14-5 and beat Machias White on Sunday 13-3.

The Acadians are coached by Tony and Kyle McKim.

Machias Red is 3-0 in pool play.
