A Tough Day In Old Town for the MDI Girls Basketball Team

It was a tough afternoon for the MDI Girls Basketball Team at Old Town on Saturday, February 20th, as the Trojans fell to the Coyotes 43-17

The score was tied 7-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Old Town outscored MDI 11-1 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 18-8 lead at the end of the 1st Half. MDI only managed 1 point in the 3rd Quarter and it was 34-9 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

For MDI Emily Carter had 5 points, Olivia Gray 4 points, and Elizabeth Jones, Elena Alderman, Grace Witham and Leah Carroll each had 2 points.

For Old Town Heather Richards had 14 points. Madelyn Arsenault had 10 points. Saige Evans had 8 pints. Lexi Thibodeau had 6 points. Madelynn Emerson had 3 points and Sydney Loring had 2 points.

MDI is back in action on Tuesday, February 23 when they play at Hermon at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on the Hermon Hawks NFHS Channel (subscription required)
