19th Annual Friends of Acadia Earth Day Roadside Cleanup
Earth Day is Saturday April 28, 2018 which is also the day for the 19th Annual Friends of Acadia Earth Day Roadside Cleanup, which will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
You can join family, friends, neighbors and coworkers to collect a winter's worth of trash and debris from roadsides on Mount Desert Island and Trenton. According to Friends of Acadia Conservation Manager Paige Steele "Participating in the cleanup is a great way to take pride in your community, get outside and celebrate Spring, FOA-Style!"
Volunteers collect the trash and bag it, which is later picked up by Maine Department of Transportation crews.
To be assigned to a cleanup location, please register online before Sunday, April 22nd. For groups of 10 or more contact dana@friendsofacadia.org or call 207-288-3934
