Winter Weather and Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 AM Tuesday until 1 PM Tuesday and a Wind Advisory from 4 AM to 7 PM on Tuesday for Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties including Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Machias, Blue Hill and Cherryfield.

Sleet is supposed to accumulate between a half inch to an inch and the sleet and glaze of ice will produce very slippery conditions for the morning commute. Winds will be out of the Northeast 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts between 45 and 50 miles per hour.
