Don't put away the snowblower or shovels yet! The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Thursday February 9th from the Morning through late Thursday Night, as they're calling for 6 to 10 inches of snow for Coastal Downeast Maine!

The forecast is for moderate to heavy snow beginning Thursday morning and lasting through the day and into the night. It will be windy with winds out of the North, 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour, increasing to 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour in the afternoon. Thursday night the winds will blow from the Northwest, 20 to 30 miles per hours with gusts up to 45 miles per hours. Highs on Thursday will be in the lower 20's and lows Thursday night will be around 8 above.
