Winter Storm Vulcan

This just isn't logical, getting a huge winter storm, but here we go. Winter Storm Vulcan is bearing down on us, and unless we have some photon torpedoes, you better be ready to shovel some snow :(

The latest Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service in Caribou calls for 8-15 inches in the Greater Bangor area with heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain with winds out of the North 10-20 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. In the Ellsworth - Bar Harbor area we can expect 5-9 inches of heavy snow, with snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain with winds out of the North, 20-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

There will be lots of cancellations tonight, and in all likelihood Thursday morning. Be sure to call before you go.
