After a Christmas and New Year without snow, it looks like winter's going to make a comeback. Yesterday, we had 4-6 inches of snow in the Bangor area, with some freezing rain, and the rain that was forecast never materialized. Now it looks like we are in for some bitterly cold temperatures Monday night into Tuesday!

As a matter of fact, the National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for our area. Temperatures in the Bangor area tomorrow night will be -10 to -20 with wind chills expected to be -25 to -35. It will be only slightly warmer in the Ellsworth - Bar Harbor area as it will be -5 to -10 with wind chills -20 to -30! Please be sure to bring in all your pets, and check on your neighbors! If you do end up with frozen pipes, be sure to thaw them carefully
