What do you do when the weather calls for rain with isolated thunderstoms in the morning on Saturday, then scattered showers in the afternoon and winds 15-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour in the morning and you NEED to play softball? Exactly what the Ellsworth Girls Softball Team did under the direction of Coach Jake Hackett!

They created their own tarps and weighed them down with lots and lots of rocks! I have seen the Ellsworth soccer team shovel Del Luce Stadium, I have seen MDI tennis teams snowblow and shovel the tennis courts. Kudos to the Ellsworth Softball Team... This is a 1st!

Weather and field permitting, the Ellsworth Softball and Baseball Teams are to host Presque Isle on Saturday April 27th at 2:30 and 4:30
