Waffle Truck Coming to Ellsworth

I know it's January but with the news that a Waffle Truck is coming to Ellsworth, summer can't get here fast enough!

Kate Kennedy is a U.S. History teacher at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill. She's also the owner of Waffle ME, and she's bringing her food truck serving gourmet Belgian Waffles to Ellsworth this summer!

I spoke with Kate Monday afternoon, and she told me that her plans are to be open Friday -Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the morning until around 5 p.m. and possibly later. Can you say Breakfast for Lunch or Breakfast for Dinner?

Her plan is to have regular Belgian Waffles, Vegan Belgian Waffles and Gluten Free Belgian Waffles. There will even be a Pizza Waffle that uses pizza dough in the waffle maker and it becomes crispy and airy at the same time!

Waffle Bowls with Ice Cream? Of course! And loads and loads of toppings including strawberry, blueberry, chocolate chip and whipped cream and nuts!

There will be savory options including bacon, ham and eggs as toppings!
