Friends in Action Community Lunches – October

Here are the Friends in Action Lunch Menus for October  2026!

The lunches are served at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, every Tuesday and Thursday, across from Knowlton Park. The cost of the lunches are $5.00.

The lunches are nutritious, delicious, inexpensive and more importantly a chance for seniors to get together, where it's warm and in an inviting setting and meet new friends or catch up with old friends! Plus, you can find out more about Friends in Action and the programs that they offer!

The lunches have proven to be so popular that Friends in Action is asking that you let them know by Monday at 4:30 p.m. that you will be attending the Tuesday lunch and by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday if you will be attending the Thursday lunch, so that way they have enough food prepared and place settings set. You can either let them know at the lunch or by giving them a call at 664-6016.

• Thursday, October 1st -Baked Chicken and Herb Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Applesauce and Dessert
• Tuesday October 6th - Beef and Vegetable Shepherd's Pie, Dinner Roll, Garden Salad, Peaches and Dessert
• Thursday October 8th - Turkey Meatloaf with Gravy, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Glazed Carrott, Pears and Desert
• Tuesday, October 13th - Chicken Broccoli Alfredo over Pasta, Garlic Bread, Steamed Broccoli, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert
• Thursday, October 15th - Ham and Cheese Scallope Potato Bake, Whole Wheat Roll, Grean Beans, Pineapple and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 20th -BBQ Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, Creamy Coleslaw, Mixed Fruit and Dessert
• Thursday, October 22nd - Chicken Parmesan, Penne Pasta with Marinara Sauce, Italian Green Beans, Applesauce and Dessert
• Tuesday, October 27th - Beef Stroganoff over Egg Noodles, Dinner Roll, Steamed Peas, Carrots and Dessert
• Thursday, October 29th - Turkey and Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Cranberry Applesauce and Dessert
