For years, the Neighborhood House's Community Cafe has been a highlight of Thursdays, as residents have been able to gather for a great meal and a little community conversation the 1st and 3rd Thursday in the fall, winter and spring.

The Community Cafe  will be open on the first and third Thursday of each month, October 15th through April 15th.  Recognizing the fact that some will prefer the take away option, organizers are pleased to offer that option too! This year, in addition to the sit-down and takeout lunches, thanks to some volunteers, the Neighborhood House has the ability to deliver within Northeast Harbor to shut-ins, and those unable to join in person. If you know of anyone in Northeast Harbor who might benefit from this, please contact the  Neighborhood House at 207-276-5039

This year the suggested donation remains $10 per person, and seniors are invited to join “on the house.” Lunch is served from 11:30 to 1 p.m, or sooner, if all the food is gone!

There will be a limited number of vegetarian and gluten free meals available upon request.

The first lunch on October 15th will be a lunch in Memory of Les Foss and will feature Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, Homemade Pickle, Chips and Desser..

Like last year, WDEA will be broadcasting from select lunches 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
