Here are the unofficial Ellsworth Municipal election results for the November 8th election. The votes are unofficial pending any possible recounts, and until the Ellsworth City Council votes on Thursday, November 10th to accept the election results at a Special Meeting of the Council.

Write in votes were still being tabulated when these results were sent just before midnight on November 8th. Those will be necessary to fill the 2 Library Trustee seats, and 1 seat on the School Board.

City Council - Top 3 elected for 3-year term

  • Michelle Beal - 2475
  • Tammy Mote - 1901
  • Jon Stein - 1282
  • John Linnehan - 1226
  • Kristin Schlaeffer - 1055
  • Robert Miller - 1029
  • Gordon Workman - 989

School Board

  • Paul Markosian -2767

Of Ellsworth's 6837 registered voters, there were 4017 votes cast, meaning the turnout was 58.75%. Of note there were 1427 absentee ballots issued and 1372 were returned.

Michelle Beal, the leading vote-getter for the City Council is a former Ellsworth City Manager. She now works at Rudman and Winchell, as does Tammy Mote, who was the 2nd leading vote-getter. Mote is a former City employee, having been the long-time Finance Director.  Jon Stein is the owner of Fogtown Brewing.
