The MDI Tojans Girls Soccer Team nipped the Ellsworth Eagles 3-2 on Senior Recognition Night in Bar Harbor, in the last regular game of the season.

MDI took a 1-0 lead with 2:26 elapsed, as Daisy Granholm scored with an assist from Lelia Weir.

Ellsworth tied the score with 10:41 remaining in the 1st Half, with a goal from Emma Whitney, and then took a 2-1 lead with 6:46 left in the 1st Half, with a goal from Lexi Rossi.

Ellsworth led 2-1 at the intermission.

Granholm tied the game 2-2 with 29:51 remaining, off of a cross on a corner kick from Lelia Weir.

Granholm scored the game winner for the Trojans, her 3rd of the game, and 41st of the season, with 11:34 remaining.

Sabine Costello-Sanders was in net for MDI while Kayla Duhaime was in goal for Ellsworth

It was the final regular season  game for MDI's seniors Zoe Olson, Mei Cook, Cadi Howell, Julia Rush, Daisy Granholm, Hannah Goodwin and Rachel Leonard.

MDI finishes the season with a 12-2 record, in 3rd place in the Class B North Heal Points and will have a first round bye, and play in the quarterfinals at home.

Ellsworth finishes the season 5-8-1 and in 9th place. They will play a prelim game at the 7th seed on Friday, October 25th
