MDI-Ellsworth Boys Tie 1-1 Sets Up Quarterfinal Rematch

The MDI and Ellsworth Boys Soccer Teams played to a 1-1 draw after double overtime on Senior Recognition Night on Tuesday, October 22nd at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor. The 2 teams will meet in the Quarterfinals

Goals were scored by Leao Nelson for MDI assisted from Walker St. Germain.and Sam Holler for Ellsworth.

MDI finishes the season as the 3rd seed with a record of 10-2-2. Ellsworth finishes the season as the 6th seed with a record of 5-7-2.

The quarterfinal matchup will be played on Wednesday, October 30th at 5PM in Bar Harbor at Alumni Field. Admission will be charged for the playoffs, with admission prices $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for senior citizens and students.

The tentative plan is we will broadcast that game on air, on WDEA AM 1370, online at WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

The game was the last regular season game for MDI Trojans Shane Bonilla, Nicholas Dmitrieff, Trevor Morrison, Ben Hulbert, Oliver Blank, and Nate Philbrook
