The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area from 9PM Saturday night, January 19th through 10AM on Monday, January 21st.
The latest forecast is calling for 12 to 16 inches of snow possible, with snow mixing with freezing rain and sleet. There is expected to be up to 1/2 inch of ice
Governor Janet Mills is encouraging everyone to stay off the roads on Sunday
“I encourage Mainers to stay off the roads as much as possible this weekend to help avoid accidents and allow our state and municipal road crews to work safely,” said Governor Mills. “I also hope that families reach out to any of their neighbors in need. Mainers take care of one another and I have every confidence we will continue to do so through these winter months.”
