Sumner Volleyball Wins 1st Match of Season

The Sumner Tigers Volleyball Team won their 1st match of the season, beating the Machias Bulldogs 3-1 on Thursday, September 6th in Sullivan. The individual game scores were 25-22, 25-23, 14-25 and 25-21.

Individual Sumner Stat Leaders include

Blue Howard - 10 Kills, 5 Aces, 4 Assists and 3 Blocks
Lydia Gatcomb - 4 Assists, 2 Aces, and 2 Blocks
Sarah Hooper - 7 Aces, 4 Assists and 1 Kill

Sumner is now 1-2 on the season and will play at Woodland on Friday, September 7th at 5:30 PM

Machais, 0-1 plays host to Bucksport on Saturday, September 8th at 1PM.
