Bobby Dorr Memorial Scholarship Available for Children of Firefighters or Aspiring Firefighters in Hancock County or Steuben

Assistant Ellsworth Fire Chief Bobby Dorr passed away in May of 2021. His legacy continues to live in the hearts and minds of his fellow firefighters and through the Bobby Dorr Memorial Scholarship.

This scholarship will award a total of $1,000 per year that will be distributed among individuals who are selected to receive a Bobby Dorr Memorial Scholarship.

To apply you must be graduatng from a high school, (Ellsworth, MDI, Bucksport, GSA, Deer Isle-Stonington, GSA  or Sumner) or home-schooled in Hancock County or Steuben.

Additionally you must either be a child of a firefighter in Hancock County or Steuben, or live in Hancock County or Steuben and are going to make a career in the fire service.
