The Sumner Girls Basketball Team beat GSA Friday night, January 25th 59-56 in double overtime for their 3rd win of the season, at Sumner Memorial High School.

Sumner jumped out to a 10-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, but GSA took the lead at the end of the 1st Half 19-15. GSA had a slim 2 point lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter, 29-27 and the game was tied 46-46 at the end of regulation.

Sumner had 3 girls in double figures. Emma Bunch finished with 16 points, Macy Lane 13 points and Raquel Barneds 10 points. The Tigers were 6-21 from the free throw line and sank 3 3-pointers. Lane had 2 3's and Bunch 1 3-pointer.

GSA was led by Evelyn Dagan with a game high 20 points, while Julianna Allen and Luna Perry-St.Peter had 11 points. The Eagles were 12-23 from the free throw line and sank 8 3-pointers. Dagan had 6 3's, and Vanessa Sherwood and Perry-St.Peter each had a 3-pointer.

Sumner, now 3-10 plays at Jonesport-Beals on Monday, January 28th at 6:30PM.

GSA, now 3-11 plays host to Bucksport on Wednesday, January 30th at 7PM
