The Sumner Memorial High School Boys Soccer Team is 2-0 on the season after beating the Searsport Vikings on Thursday, September 12th, by the score of 7-0.

Scoring for the Tigers were Damon Warren with 3 goals and 2 assists. Silas Goldfarb had a goal and 3 assists. Eduardo Figueroa had a goal and Caelan Billings had 2 goals.

Sumner goalie Alex Rumill made 6 save on 7 shots, while Searsport goalie Colby Snow had a busy afternoon in net, making 17 saves on 24 shots.

Earlier in the week, on Tuesday the 12th, Sumner kicked off their season with a 7-2 victory at home over the Jonesport-Beals Royals.

Calen Billings had 4 goals while Damon Warren had 2 goals and Silas Goldfarb had a goal and an assist. Eduardo Figuerora had 2 assists. Dylan Bernier and Bryce Coombs each had an assist for the Tigers.

For Jonesport-Beals, Nick Guptill had a goal and an assist and Adam Robinson scored the other goal while Dakota White had an assist.

Sumner goalie Alex Rumill made 7 saves on 9 shots. Jonesport Beals goalie Zach Vincent had 8 saves on 34 shots.

Sumner will next play Bangor Christian on Tuesday, September 19th at 4PM
