I haven't put my snowblower away for this storm. It always seems like we get a mid April snow, and some may have thought last week's storm was going to be our "poor man's fertilizer" event, but I thought we were due for one more! This seems to be another case when Mother Nature has added a season, "Sprinter" when she can't decide if it's winter or Spring! We are expecting snow Monday, April 8th, just in time for the morning commute.

The National Weather Service in Caribou is calling for snow on Monday. We can expect sleet with freezing rain likely in the morning, then rain and freezing rain in the afternoon. Snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Ice accumulation around a trace.

I know most everyone has used up all their snow days, but I'm thinking there's a good possibility of a snow day, or at least a delay. Seems kind of crazy given the fact that it's going to be around 50, today, Sunday, April 7th.

Want to know if you should finish your homework? (You should) Want to know if you should study for that test or exam Monday? (You should). Want to know if you should stay up and not worry about school Monday? There's a snow day calculator for you to help give you the odds of having a snow day in the near future!

It's pretty simple. You enter your zip code, how many snow days you have already had, and then what kind of school you go to. Then the calculator figures out the probability that you won't have to go to school Monday, April 8th! Pretty simple, but to insure you don't have school, I would still suggest going to bed with your pajamas on backwards!
