We might have officially had a heat wave with 3 consecutive days of 90 degree or more temperatures. Things should cool off, but it's going to get a little bumpy this afternoon!

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Interior Hancock, Coastal Hancock, Coastal Washington, Northern Washington, Northern, Central and Southern Penobscot, Southeast Aroostook,  and Central and Southern Piscataquis, Counties until 8PM tonight, Saturday, July 6th.

The thunderstorms Downeast may be sever this afternoon with damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

In the event of thunderstorms, you should go inside. Remember when thunder roars go indoors.
