Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 7 innings, and left with a chance to win his 20th game of the season, but Matt Barnes blew the save. Rodiguez ended up pitching 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 3 runs and struck out 8 while walking 2. He set career highs this season in wins (19), starts (34), innings pitched (203.1) and strikeouts (213).

Rafael Devers was 3-5 with a double, and ended up with 201 hits on the season. He's the 28th Red Sox to record 200 hits in a season, and is the franchise's youngest player to do so. He led Major League Baseball with 359 total bases and 90 extra base hits. He was 3nd with 54 doubles, 201 hits, 129 runs and 60 multi-hit games.

In what may have been Mookie Betts last game for the Red Sox, he was 2-4 with a RBI and scored a run. He led Major League Baseball with 135 runs scored, the most since Ted William's franchise record of 150 in 1949.

JD Martinez who can opt out of his contract and become a free agent was 1-4 and finished with a .304 average, 36 homers and 105 RBIs. He's the 20th player ever to hit over 300 with 35 plus homers and 100 plus RBIs in 3 consecutive seasons. The last player to do so was Albert Pujols in 2008.
