One night after blasting 5 home runs, the Boston Red Sox blasted 6 home runs, including 2 homers by JD Martinez as the Red Sox crushed the Baltimore Orioles 13-2 in the 1st game of a 3 game series in Camden Yards.

Of the Red Sox 6 homers, 4 of them were 2 run shots. Brock Holt started the home run barrage with a 2 run shot in the 2nd inning. JD Martinez and Christian Vazquez hit homers in the 4th inning. In the 5th inning Michael Chavis, Jackie Bradely Jr. and Martinez went deep.

The Red Sox scored 2 runs in the 2nd, 4 runs in the 4th inning, 5 runs in the 5th inning and 2 runs in the 6th inning.

All together the Red Sox banged out 16 hits. JD Martinez and Rafael Devers were each 3-4. Michael Chavis, Brock Holt, Christian Vazquez and Jackie Bradley Jr. each had 2 hits.

On the mound Eduardo Rodriguez went 7 innings for the win. He allowed 6 hits, 1 run, striking out 4 and didn't walk a batter.

The Red Sox are now 37-34, 6 games behind the 1st place Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees are .5 games behind Tampa in 2nd place.
