The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Red Flag Warning for Very High Fire Danger for most of the State of Maine on Sunday, April 24th from 10 AM to 7 PM.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels will create dangerous fire weather conditions.

It should be noted that even though parts of Downeast Coastal Maine are not included in the Red Flag Warning, that conditions are Very High for Fire Danger according to the Maine Forest Service
