Pets of the Week – Iggy and Zora
When we went in to the SPCA of Hancock County to bring Miriam home, we were astonished by how many cats and kittens were there waiting for their "fur-ever" homes. Meet Iggy and Zora!
Iggy and Zora are around 2 years old and just as sweet as can be. Even when they were nervous and shy upon first coming to the SPCA of Hancock County, they’ve always been kind and gentle. Now that they’re more comfortable, they’re showing how truly loving and precious they are!
The second someone wanders near their living space at the shelter, they pop right over to the door to greet their visitors and hope to get some rubs. When they’re not seeking out love and affection, these gentle ladies like to snooze with a comfy blanket.
They do have one secret that they didn’t want me to tell you… they’re catnip fanatics, especially Iggy! A sprinkle of catnip will have these ladies rolling around and playing like kittens within minutes!
Once they’ve had a chance to settle in, Iggy and Zora are very relaxed, gentle kitties that would be happy to have a place to call home. They make amazing companions, not just to each other, but to humans and anyone would be very lucky to welcome them into their home!
The SPCA of Hancock County is open Tuesday-Saturday noon to 4. They may be reached by calling 207-667-8088.
