Over 9000 Emera Maine Customers Without Power Downeast Tuesday Morning

There were just over 9300 Emera Maine customers without power Tuesday morning, August 13th. It seems power went out around 5AM with the majority of the outages occurring in the Blue Hill, Surry, Brooklin, Deer Isle area.

Emera Maine had line crews out working, and were anticipating most of the outages to be resolved and power to be restored by 11 AM.(updated at 9:05AM)

The public is reminded to never touch a downed power line or a tree in contact with a downed line. Motorists are urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways.
