The Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Tree of Life Food Pantry are joining forces to host a pay-what-you-can Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 27th. The dinner will take place at The Farmhouse in Blue Hill with 2 seatings at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Guests will enjoy a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings, and pumpkin pie for dessert.

"Thanksgiving is about community" said Ann Rioux, president of the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. "We wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome and no one eats alone."

The meal will be prepared and served by local volunteers with ingredients and supplies donated by area businesses and residents. Guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items on the day of the event, which will be donated to the Tree of Life Food Pantry to help local families in need.

All proceeds from the dinner will benefit both the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Tree of Life Food Pantry.

Volunteers and food donations are still needed to help make the dinner a success. Individuals and organizations that can help by distributing time, money or food items are encouraged to contact to Ann Rioux at 207-669-2525 to learn how to help.

Reservations are required as seating is limited. To reserve a spot, or to learn how ot help please contact Ann at 207-669-2525
