Have you always wanted to have a say in how the City of Ellsworth, the Ellsworth Schools or Ellsworth Library is run? Have you wanted to serve your City? Now is the time to step up, as nomination papers are available beginning August 10th for the Ellsworth Council, Ellsworth School Board and Ellsworth Library Trustees.

If you want to take out nomination papers, please call the City Clerk's Office at 669-6604 so they can prepare papers for you. Completed Nomination Papers must be returned on or before Friday, September 18th at 5 p.m. You must have between 50 and 100 signatures of Ellsworth registered voters on your nomination papers.

There are 2 seats available each on the City Council, the School Board and Ellsworth Library Trustees.

  • John Moore

School Board

  • Rob Hudson
  • Brenda Thomas

Library Trustees

  • Spencer Patterson-King
  • Ann Dyer

Ellsworth does not have term limits so all current office holders are eligible to run in the November 3rd election should they so choose and return the requisite nomination papers.
