Northeast Harbor’s 2023 Memorial Day Observance – Parade, Solemn Ceremony and Community Cookout [PHOTOS]
Last year I had the opportunity to attend the Northeast Harbor's 2022 Memorial Day Observance. It really was wonderful, as it combined everything you could want, a parade, a solemn ceremony honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and capped by a community cookout! They're going to be doing the same thing this Memorial Day, May 29th and you're invited!
The schedule for this year is
- 10:30 a.m. - MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
- 11:00 a.m. (APPROX.) - MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
- 11:30 a.m. (APPROX.) COMMUNITY COOKOUT
The public is welcome to come kick off the unofficial start of summer and gather with the community while enjoying a hamburger or hotdogs. The suggested donation is just $5, and all veterans are invited to enjoy their meal at no charge and with many thanks for their service.
