Meet Laura Our SPCA of Hancock County Pet of the Week
When you are a 10 year old beautiful photogenic cat with diabetes, the shelter is no place for you to call home!
But that's the situation that Laura finds herself in. Laura is a beautiful 10 year old orange and cream tabby that is sweet like marmalade.
She has gorgeous green eyes and a freckled pink nose, and she is ready to take over your home and your heart.
Laura can be a little shy and reserved at first, so the Shelter thinks she would prefer a kind of quieter home that would give her time to adjust. And at 10 years old and diagnosed with diabetes, she deserves any kind of home she wants. Laura is good with kids and cats, but perhaps does best with slow introductions where she can lean in for affection on her own terms.
Laura is not impressed by young, rowdy dogs, so most likely only senior dogs or extremely quiet, laidback dogs for this lady. Laura is diabetic but it is managed through insulin, something shelter staff can demonstrate on how to give.
Laura would love a family of her own - don’t you want to make her yours?
