Volunteer For The Annual Roadside Cleanup On April 25

Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22nd. On Saturday, April 25th Friends of Acadia will be conducting their Annual Mount Desert Island and Trenton Roadside Cleanup...But they can't do it without you!

For the last 25 years, volunteers have cleaned up Mount Desert Island's and Trenton's roadways, picking up trash, cigarette butts and other debris after winter's snow has melted.

This year's cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 8:30am - 11:30am.
Registration will close on Friday, April 17th, and assignments will be emailed out by April 23rd. On Saturday, April 25th you are asked to bring your positive attitude, a reusable water bottle, closed toed shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Section leaders will bring trash bags, safety vests, gloves, water, and a light snack.

Thanks to the municipal road crews who will be picking up the trash bags along the sides of the roads.
