Measure What Matters – A Community Conversation About How to Measure What Matters About Schools
The Maine Department of Education is hosting a series of community conversations throughout the State about how to measure what matters about schools. There will be held one in Lamoine on Monday, August 26th from 5 to 7 p.m.
The goal of these community conversations is to answer questions like
- What makes a great school in Maine?
- What should schools be doing to successfully preparing students for their futures?
Your thoughts and ideas will be used to develop a portrait of a great school in Maine based on what the people of Maine value for our schools.
You are asked to preregister if you are planning on attending. There will be light refreshments served.
If you can't make the Lamoine session, there will also be sessions held Tuesday, September 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 at the University of Maine Machias in Torey Hall located at 116 O'Brien Avenue and then a session on Wednesday, September 11th in the Bangor High School Cafeteria at 885 Broadway in Bangor. If you are planning on attending that one you are asked to use the Peakes Auditorium entrance.
