MDI Softball Falls to Bucksport 7-1

The MDI Softball Team fell to perennial powerhouse Bucksport 7-1 in Bar Harbor on Wednesday, April 29th.

Bucksport scored 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning, 3 runs in the top of the 5th inning and pushed across an insurance run in the top of the 6th inning.

MDI scored their lone run in the top of the 2nd inning when Addy Boyce singled and came around to score on a double by Bailey Goodell.

For MDI, Lily James and Olivia Gray were each 2-4 with a pair of singles. Bailey Goodell doubled and singles. Addy Boyce, Mollie Gray and Sophia Thurston each singled.

For Bucksport Kaylee Gray and Alyssa Maguire each had a double and single. Kaylee Morey had a double. Alexis Wardwell, Aliie Pickering and Madison Frazier singled.

MDI, 2-1, will play at Old Town on Saturday, May 1st at 12 noon.

Bucksport 3-0 hosts Belfast on Friday, April 30th
