MDI JV White Falls to Hampden Academy 66-23 [STATS/RECAP]

The Hampden Academy JV Boys Basketball Team was too much for the MDI JV White Team on Saturday afternoon, February 13th Hampden Academy won 66-23.

Hampden Academy jumped out to a 12-8 in the 1st Quarter. Reese Kenney and Brennon Tiensivu each had 5 points, including a 3-pointer. Ray Brickle added a basket. For MDI Jack White had 5 points, going 3-4 from the free throw line. Shane Lumbatis had a basket and Nathan Lawson was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 2nd Quarter Hampden Academy strengthen their lead, outscoring MDI 19-5 to make it 31-13 at the end of the 1st Half. Tiensivu had 8 points, including 2 3-pointers to lead the Broncos. Leo Mlynski had 4 points, and Reese Kenney, Ray Brickle and Gabriel Allen each chipped in a basket. Wyatt Newell was 1-2 from the free throw line. For MDI Ben Lipski and Shane Lumbatis each had 2 points, and Camden Barker was 1-2 from the foul line.

In the 3rd Quarter the Broncos continued to roll, outscoring MDI 19-7 to make it 50-20 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Tiensivu had 8 more points, including his 4th and 5th 3-pointer of the game. Kamron Tarie had a 3-pointer, and Kaden Tardie, Reese Kenne, Samuel Burnham and Wyatt Newell each had a basket. For MDI, Camden Barker had a 3-pointer and Aiden Grant and Shane Lumbatis each had a basket.

In the 4th Quarter, Hampden Academy outscore MDI 16-3. Gabriel Allen had 4 point, Brennon Tiensivu nailed his 6th 3-pointer. Ray Brickle added 3 points and Reese Kenney, and Ryan Adams each added a basket. Samuel Burnham was 2-2 from the free throw line. For MDI Dade Hawkins hit a 3-pointer.

MDI was led by Jack White with 5 points.

Hampden Academy was led by Brennon Tiensivu with 24 points including 6 3-pointers.
