The MDI Girls Soccer Team picked up their 1st win of the season, Monday, September 20th with a 8-2 victory over GSA in Blue Hill.
Lelia Weir put MDI up on top 1- with a goal with 5:51 elapsed.
It was 2--0 1:20 later when Alexsandra Hanley scored with an assist from Weir.
GSA drew within 1, when Clementine Brannon scored for the Eagles, at the 31:15 mark.
Sophia Anderson gave the Trojans a little breathing room, scoring with 16:23 left in the 1st Half to make the score 3-1.
But the Eagles drew within 1, when Grace Whiting scored. However Hanley scored her 2nd goal of the game with just 45 seconds remaining in the 1st Half to make the score 4-2 MDI.
Hannah St. Amand opened up 2nd half scoring with 38:13 to go with an assist from Hanley to make the score 5-2.
Alexsandra Hanley scored her hat trick, her 3rd goal of the day with 31:34 left with an assist from  Hannah St. Amand to make it 6-2 .
Weir added her 2nd goal of the afternoon with 19:41 remaining to make it 7-2.
Finally, Linda Bolten scored her 1st varsity goal, on her birthday, with 13:38 left in the game with an assist from Weir to make the final score  8-2.
MDI is now 1-4 and will play host to Old Town on Saturday, September 25th.
GSA is now 2-4 and plays host to Ellsworth on Tuesday, September 21st.
