The MDI Girls Soccer Team beat the Old Town Coyotes 7-0 at Victory Field in Old Town on Tuesday, October 8th.

Zoe Olson found Daisy Granholm for MDI's 1st goal of the game, with just 23 seconds gone!

Less than 7 minutes later, it was 2-0 as Lelia Weir scored at the 33:08 mark, then it was 3-0 when Weir provided the assist to Granholm's 2nd goal of the game, less than 2 minutes later.

It was 4-0 when Weir against assited on Granholm's 3rd goal of the game with 20:05 remaining.

With 14:50 remaining before the end of the 1st Half, Addy Smith scored her 1st Varsity goal, with an assist by Granholm.

MDI led 5-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

In the 2nd Half, Julia Rush scored her 1st goal of the season with 27:19 remaining, off of Granholm's cross.

Finally, Granholm scored her 4th goal of the game, and MDI's 7th with 21:16 remaining.

Sabine Costello-Sanders and Haley Leonardi split time in goal for MDI while Mikaela Kenny was in net for the Coyotes.

MDI now 9-1 will play at Ellsworth on Thursday, October 10th at 6PM, which is Ellsworth's Senior Recognition Night.

Old Town, 1-7-2 will play at Belfast on Saturday, October 12th at 11AM
