MDI Girls Soccer Shuts Out GSA 8-0

The MDI Trojans Girls Soccer Team defeated GSA in Blue Hill Thursday afternoon, September 26th 8-0. Daisy Granholm figured in the scoring of every goal for MDI, scoring 6 and assisting on the other 2 goals.

According to Coach May Dow, Julia Rush assisted with Granholm's 1st goal of the game. Graholm's 2nd and 4th goals were unassisted while Lelia Weir connected with Granhom  off a corner kick for her 3rd goal.

MDI led 4-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Zoe Olson scored off a Granholm cross to start the 2nd Half. Granholm's scored her 5th goal unassisted while providing the assist to Hannah Goodwin's 1st career goal with 13:28 remaining in the game. Granholm's 6th and final goal was assisted by Addy Smith.

Sabine Costello-Sanders and Haley Leonardi combined for the shut out for the Trojans. Luna Perry-St. Peter was in net for GSA

MDI is now 7-1 and will play at Ellsworth on Tuesday, October 1st at 6PM

GSA is now 0-8 and will play at Orono on Saturday, September 28th at 11 AM
