MDI Girls Soccer Shuts Out Belfast 3-0 in Class B North Prelim [PHOTOS]

The #10 MDI Girls Soccer Team shut out the #7 Belfast Lions 3-0 in a Class B North Prelim Game in Belfast on Friday afternoon, October 22nd.

Avary Bryer hadn't scored a Varsity goal all season long. She waited for the right time, not only scoring her 1st career varsity goal, but her 2nd as well! Bryer scored with 24:23 left in the 1st Half with an assist from Jenny Carr. With 11:05 left Avary found the back of the net again, this time assisted by Sophia Anderson.

The score was 2-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Lelia Weir wasted no time in the 2nd Half, adding an insurance goal for the Trojans, scoring with only 38 seconds elapsed, with an assist from Hannah St. Amand.

Sabine Costello-Sanders recorded the shutout for the Trojans.

MDI is now 5-10-0 while Belfast's season ends at 5-9-0

The Trojans will play the winner of the #2 Old Town - #14 Presque Isle prelim game.
