The MDI Girls Soccer Team beat the Caribou Vikings 3-1 on Alumni Field on Tuesday afternoon, September 24th. The two teams started earlier than the 4PM scheduled start, but the lightning forced the two teams to abandon the field, and the game was called a little over a hour later, with 27:17 remaining in the game.

Daisy Granholm had a hat trick for the Trojans. She scored her 1st goal off an assist from Lelia Weir at the 31:50 mark in the 1st Half. Her 2nd goal, at the 24:11 mark again came from Weir. Caribou's Edie Shea scored with 6:11 remaining before the end of the 1st Half.

The score was 2-1 Trojans at the Half.

With a couple of minutes gone in the 2nd Half, Granholm converted a penalty kick.

Sabine Costello-Sanders was in goal for the Trojans while Sage Dubay was in net for the Caribou Vikings.

MDI is now 6-1 and will play at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill on Thursday, September 24th at 4PM
