The MDI Girls Soccer Team beat the Brewer Witches on Doyle Field in Brewer, Tuesday, September 17th by the score of 6-2.

Daisy Granholm scored 4 goals and 2 assists to lead MDI.

Granholm scored her 1st goal just under 5 minutes into the game (35:37) off of an assist by Hannah St. Amand. She then tallied her 2nd goal, unassisted at the 27:27 mark.

Zoe Olsen scored the final goal of the 1st Half less than a minute later on a cross from Granholm.

MDI led 3-0 at the Half.

Granholm opened up the 2nd Half with a goal when Mei Cook cleared the ball to Granholm who received the ball at midfield and brought the ball down into the box, scoring at the 34:17 mark.

Lelia Weir provided the assist on Granholm's 4th and final goal of the game, 3 minutes later.

Mei Cook scored her 1st goal of the season with 13:56 remaining off a Granholm assist.

Morgan Honey was responsible for both of Brewer's goals, scoring with 10:31 and 8:30 remaining in the game.

Sabine Costello-Sanders was in goal for MDI while Bella Tanis was in the net for Brewer.

MDI is now 4-1 on the season and will play John Bapst at the University of Maine on Wednesday, September 18th at 4PM.

Brewer is 0-4 and plays at Skowhegan on Thursday, September 19th at 3:30
