The MDI Girls and Boys Soccer Teams took the long bus ride up to Presque Isle, with both teams coming back empty handed but experiencing some team bonding on the bus rides.

The MDI Girls lost 5-2 to the Wildcats. For Presque Isle Syndey Tawfall had a hat-trick, and Presque Isle led 3-0 at the Half.

In the 2nd Half, Tawfall added her 4th goal of the game, and Taylor Marston added a goal to make it 5-0.

Lelia Weir scored to make it 5-1 and then Clair Sanner scored heir 1st varsity goal, off of a corner from Weir.

Sabine Costello-Sanders started in goal for MDI with Olivia Gray playing in goal in the 2nd Half.

The MDI Boys lost to Presque Isle 3-2

The Wildcats took an early 1-0 lead converting on a corner kick. Julian Walls tied it up moments later.

Corin Baker gave the Trojans a 2-1 lead, converting a cross from Ieaun Howell.

But Presque Isle tied it 2-2 just before the end of the 1st Half.

Presque Isle scored the lone goal in the 2nd Half to take the game 3-2.

The MDI Girls are back in action on Wednesday, September 8th when they play host to Hermon, at 6 p.m. while the Boys play at home on Alumni Field on Thursday, September 9th at 6 p.m. when they too play host to Hermon. Both games may be viewed on the MDI NFHS Channel (subscription required)
