MDI Boys Soccer Blanks Foxcroft Academy 3-0

The MDI Boys Soccer Team beat the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, October 19th at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor.

leuan Howell put MDI on the scoreboard with 25:20 left in the 1st Half.

That was the lone goal of the 1st Half, and the teams played with MDI leading 1-0 until Howell added his 2nd goal of the game, assisted by Leao Nelson with 8:31 left in the game.

Nick Dmitrieff added an insurance goal for the Trojans with 4:17 left in the game.

The win puts the Trojans in 3rd place in the Class B North Heal Points, with 1 game remaining on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6 PM against Ellsworth in Bar Harbor on Senior Recognition Night.  Depending upon the results of that game and the Winslow-Erskine Academy game Tuesday afternoon, the Trojans will either finish 2nd or 3rd in Class B North.

Foxcroft Academy finishes the regular season at 7-7 and will play in a prelim game in the 10th and final playoff spot
