MDI Boys Soccer Beats Hermon 3-1

The MDI Boys Soccer Team defeated Hermon 3-1 under the lights at Pottle Field in Hermon on Tuesday, October 15th.

MDI took a 1-0 lead with 17:29 remaining in the 1st Half when Ben Hulbert found the back of the net, on a cross from Leao Nelson.

Hermon tied it with 1;46 remaining in the 1st Half, and the score was deadlocked 1-1 at the end of the 1st Half.

In the 2nd Half, Leao Nelson put MDI ahead for good, burying a penalty kick with 18:35 remaining and then added an insurance goal less than a minute later (17:36).

MDI, now 9-2-1 has 2 regular season games remaining, both at home. They play host to Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, October 19th at 1PM before closing out the regular season on Senior Recognition Night against Ellsworth on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6 PM.

Hermon, 1-10 has 2 more games to play. They travel up to Presque Isle on Saturday, October 19th to play the Wildcats at 3PM and then close out the regular season on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6 PM at home against Old Town.
